BnB Colombia Tours Customer Terms and Conditions

By placing a booking with BnB Colombia, Inc (“us”, “we”, “our”) you (the client) and your booking party agree to all of the following terms, conditions and policies as set out below. During any of the tours operated by our contractors or us you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set out below. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a reservation.

To place a booking with us the lead client (person making the reservation(s)) must be of at least 18 years of age.

Small changes may occur during your tour or prior to your tour date. This may be caused by extreme weather, safety concerns or just recommendations from previous clients that will improve your experience.

Payments and Service Fees:

  • Payments can only be made through our website unless express written approval has been given for a wire transfer to a registered BnB Colombia bank account or in some cases, directly to our tour operator.

Lost Property

  • Any lost property, if discovered and found left behind by clients during a tour will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage client to ensure they have all their belonging before leaving the company of the tour guide. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.

Liability and Travel Insurance

  • BnB Colombia accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness or schedule change due to weather, strike, natural disaster or any other cause beyond our control. Including any default or delay caused by any guide, tour or transport operator or any other person’s or company’s acts. BnB Colombia reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise. In the case of any changes to flights or to scheduled ground travel, you are responsible for additional costs incurred as a result of such changes. We therefore advise all travellers it is mandatory for you to obtain comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies. This insurance must cover personal injury and emergency medical expenses. You are strongly recommended to extend your coverage to include cancellation, curtailment, and all other expenses that may arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience while traveling. You acknowledge that insurance coverage is not included in the cost of any Tour offered by BnB Colombia and you are required to obtain separate coverage at an additional cost. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient coverage and comply with the terms of the applicable insurance plans. You are responsible for advising your insurer of the type of travel, destination(s) and activities included in your booking so that the insurer may provide appropriate coverage. In the case of any G-Adventures tours you will be asked to produce a copy of your insurance to the guide prior to the commencement of your tour (Comprehensive Travel Insurance can be purchased through World Nomads here).

Cancellation, & Non-Arrival (No-show) Conditions

  • All Cancellations must be made in writing to info@bnbcolombia.com and will not be accepted via telephone. In case of a cancellation or change to plans already booked, we advise guests to contact us immediately for a solution, however cancellation fees may apply.
  • If you have any doubts or questions regarding our cancellation and refund policy please contact us to clarify any of our terms prior to making your booking.

Please note that no exceptions can be made to these conditions once a booking has been confirmed.

Recommendations to Avoid Cancellations of Accommodation:

  • Make your tour bookings before any accommodation reservations.
  • Make your tour reservations after booking your flights.
  • Take out adequate travel insurance – specifically cancellation insurance (Comprehensive Travel Insurance can be purchased through World Nomads here).

Tour Payments Policy:

  • Single Day Tour:
    • Full payment must be received a minimum of 72 hours prior to the tour date to confirm the reservation.
  • Single City Package Tour:
    • Full payment must be received a minimum of 30 days prior to the tour date to confirm the reservation.
  • Multi-Stop Package Tour:
    • Full payment must be received a minimum of 45 days prior to the tour date to confirm the reservation.

Tour Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • Single Day Tour excluding Bucaramanga (Santander):
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 5 days or more prior to your tour(s) date you will be able to reschedule at no additional cost.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 48 hours – 4 days prior to the start of your tour a 10% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 10% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you cancel your tour 5 days or more prior to your scheduled tour(s) you can be reimbursed the full cost of your tour minus the non-refundable amount of 10% of the tour(s) cost (plus any processing fees).
    • If you cancel your reservation 48 hours – 4 days prior to your scheduled tour(s) you can be reimbursed the full cost of your tour minus the non-refundable amount of 25% of the tour(s) cost (plus any processing fees).
    • If you wish to change or cancel your reservation for any reason 48 hours or less prior to the start of your tour(s) you will lose the complete value of the tour(s) cost.
    • “No Shows” will lose the complete value of the tour(s).
  • Single Day Tour or City Package Tour for Bucaramanga (Santander):
    • All deposits are 100% non-refundable.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 22 days or more prior to your tour(s) date you will be able to reschedule at no additional cost.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 48 hours – 21 days prior to the start of your tour a 10% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 10% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you cancel your tour 22 days or more prior to your scheduled tour(s) you can be reimbursed the full cost of your tour minus the non-refundable amount of 30% of the tour(s) cost (plus any processing fees).
    • If you cancel your reservation 48 hours – 22 days prior to your scheduled tour(s) you can be reimbursed the full cost of your tour minus the non-refundable amount of 60% of the tour(s) cost (plus any processing fees).
    • If you wish to change or cancel your reservation for any reason 48 hours or less prior to the start of your tour(s) you will lose the complete value of the tour(s) cost.
    • “No Shows” will lose the complete value of the tour(s).
  • City Package Tour excluding Bucaramanga (Santander):
    • All deposits are 100% non-refundable.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 31 days or more prior to the start of your City Package Tour(s) a 10% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 10% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 8-30 days prior to the start of your City Package Tour(s) a 25% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 25% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you wish to change your reservation 4-7 days prior to the start of your City Package Tour(s) a 45% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 45% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you wish to change your reservation 96 hours or less prior to the start of your City Package Tour(s), you will lose the complete value of the Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) cost.
    • If you cancel your City Package Tour 60 days or more prior to the scheduled City Package Tour(s) start date, you can be reimbursed the full cost of your City Package Tour(s) minus the non-refundable amount of 10% of the City Package Tour(s) cost, (plus any processing fees).
    • If you cancel your City Package Tour 31-60 days prior to the scheduled City Package Tour(s) start date, you can be reimbursed the full cost of your City Package Tour(s) minus the non-refundable amount of 35% of the City Package Tour(s) cost, (plus any processing fees).
    • If you cancel your reservation 8 to 30 days prior to your scheduled City Package Tour(s) start date, you can be reimbursed the full cost of your City Package Tour(s) minus the non-refundable amount of 60% of the City Package Tour(s) cost, (plus any processing fees).
    • If any cancelation to your reservation is made 7 days or less prior to your scheduled City Package Tour(s) start date, you will lose the complete value of the City Package Tour(s) cost.
    • “No Shows” will lose the complete value of the tour(s).
  • Multi-Stop Package Tour:
    • All deposits are 100% non-refundable.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 60 days or more prior to the start of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) a 10% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 10% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 31-60 days prior to the start of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) a 25% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 25% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 30 days or less prior to the start of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s), an 85% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 85% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you cancel your reservation for any reason 60 days or more prior to your scheduled Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) start date, you can be reimbursed the full cost of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) minus the non-refundable amount of 15% of the Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) cost (plus any processing fees).
    • If you cancel your reservation for any reason 31-60 days prior to your scheduled Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) start date, you can be reimbursed the full cost of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) minus the non-refundable amount of 65% of the Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) cost, (plus any processing fees).
    • If any cancelation to your reservation is made 30 days or less prior to your scheduled Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) start date, you will lose the complete value of the Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) cost.
    • “No Shows” will lose the complete value of the tour(s).
  • Group Tour:
    • All deposits are 100% non-refundable.
    • A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking to guarantee your spot for your selected tour date. With the remaining 80% to be paid no later than 60 days before the tour start date.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 60 days or more prior to the start of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) a 10% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 10% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 31-60 days prior to the start of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) a 50% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 50% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you wish to change your reservation for any reason 30 days or less prior to the start of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s), an 85% re-booking fee will be assessed and required to confirm any changes. Refusal to pay the 85% re-booking fee will result in the complete forfeiture of the complete value of your experience.
    • If you cancel your reservation for any reason 60 days or more prior to your scheduled Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) start date, you can be reimbursed the full cost of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) minus the non-refundable amount of 20% of the Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) cost (plus any processing fees).
    • If you cancel your reservation for any reason 31-60 days prior to your scheduled Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) start date, you can be reimbursed the full cost of your Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) minus the non-refundable amount of 75% of the Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) cost, (plus any processing fees).
    • If any cancelation to your reservation is made 30 days or less prior to your scheduled Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) start date, you will lose the complete value of the Multi-Stop Package Tour(s) cost.
    • No Shows” will lose the complete value of the tour(s).
    • If a group tour fails to reach it’s minimum number of members (4 people) 30 days before the start date of the tour it will be canceled. In the event of this occuring all arrangements will be provided to the traveler(s) to provide an alternative package of an equal value with similar or equal tours and accommodation. If the alternative package is not agreed upon by the traveler(s), they will receive a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit equal to 20% of the total tours value. 
  • If your tour(s) must be cancelled by one of our service providers due to circumstances outside of your control (e.g. natural disasters, weather, etc.), we will work with you to reschedule at no additional cost. If rescheduling is not possible, you will be reimbursed the total amount of your purchase less 20% of trip cost.

Your Personal Details & Privacy

  • To keep our prices as low as possible (residents of foreign countries are not required to pay IVA in accommodation or tours) and for security reasons we keep a register of all persons who stay with us and/or book tours through our website, this includes the full names, nationality, home addresses, telephone numbers and passport numbers. These records are kept for a minimum of 12 months.
  • This information may also be used for the purposes of marketing, understanding our client base and improving our services to the general public. It may also be shown to members of law enforcement if required.
  • Our policy surrounding the personal details you provide as part of any booking or enquiry through this website / or third party website, including the privacy of those details are explained and set out in our Privacy Policy which you can read here.

Our Right To Cancellation

  • We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.

Changes to Terms, Conditions and Policies:

  • BnB Colombia has the discretion to update these terms, conditions and privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

Your acceptance of these terms

  • By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

    • Abbreviation for per person.
  • Tour operator(s) / contractor(s):
    • The person(s), company or organization that operates a tour.
  • Booking / reservation:
    • The act of reserving your space/spot on a tour/ City Package Tour / Multi-Stop Package Tour / Group Tour or an experience.
  • No show / non arrival:
    • A person(s) who do not attend a tour(s) at the agreed upon time.
  • Single tour(s) / tour(s):
    • A tour with duration of no more than 1 day, which may or may not include accommodation.
  • City Package(s) / City Package Tour(s):
    • A multi-day tour that includes multiple destinations/events/experiences on multiple days in and/or around the base of one city. Accommodation may be included within this tour if it is chosen during the process of making the booking.
  • Multi-Stop Package(s):
    • A multi-day tour that includes multiple destinations / events / experiences on multiple days in different cities and/or towns and/or regions / states with a duration of more than 1 day. Also includes transport and accommodation.
  • Group Tour(s):
      • A tour that includes a minimum of 4 people.
  • Transportation:
    • The service of transporting a person(s) from a location to another location. May include car, bus, van, plane, 4×4
  • Accommodation:
    • The location a person(s) may sleep. May include hostel, hotel, finca, farm, private residents, shared rooms, private rooms.
