You’ll be collected in Pereira from your accommodation and driven to the beautiful region of Quindio; which when translated from the native Quimbaya language is Eden. And that is exactly what this area is; quite simply it’s a heaven on earth and often referred to as The Daughter of The Andes.

Located less than an hours drive from Pereira you’ll stop for an excursion through a private nature reserve, where you will explore a sub-Andean forest. Here you will get to see a great variety of fauna and flora, which makes up the biodiversity of the Colombian coffee landscape. If your timing is just right you’ll get the chance to hear and hopefully see some wild red howler monkeys.

Next on your adventure through paradise you will go to the town of Filandia for a gastronomic experience, where your lunch will be a fusion cuisine and food typical to this region.

After you have enjoyed an amazing meal you will stroll through the main roads with a local historian, surveying the grand selection of different colors and shapes in the local architecture.

You’ll then learn the difficult skill of basket weaving from a genuine local craftswoman. Using only your hands and all-natural fibres, you’ll attempt to create your very own basket.

Before heading back through some more magical scenery to your meeting point in Pereira, you’ll make one more stop at El Tambo de Cruces. Where you’ll delight in a great cup of coffee with an enchanting view.
