You’ll be collected from your Medellín hotel and enjoy a relaxing drive through the beautiful Antioquian countryside to the wonderful small town of Carmen de Viboral. Famous for its ceramics dating back to the later part of the 19th century.
You’ll tour this small town, walking through and taking wonderful photos of the “street of clay” and “street of ceramics“. Learning as you go about the history of the ceramics made and decorated completely by hand, ensuring every single one is unique and the only one in the world.
You’ll visit several small factories and take a personalized ceramics class with a renowned ceramicist from the town, before visiting one of the first factories built in this region, which features an 80-year-old oven that still functions to this day!
Following this, you’ll start your relaxing journey back to Medellín with an optional stop at the Carrataplan Restaurant, where you can enjoy some of their signature food.
